Terms and Conditions
Tail-End Scoopers โ Pet Waste Management Services
Please read these terms carefully before booking our services. By using Tail-End Scoopers, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Our Services
Tail-End Scoopers provides pet waste removal services including garden dog waste clearance, cat litter tray cleaning, and small animal hutch cleaning. We use pet safe, environmentally friendly cleaning solutions to disinfect suitable surfaces. All equipment and footwear are disinfected after every visit to prevent the spread of disease between properties.
2. Service Area
We currently serve Much Wenlock, Broseley, Cressage, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, south Telford and surrounding areas. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, please get in touch before booking.
3. Access to Your Property
To carry out our service, we will need access to your garden or the area where your pets are kept. Please ensure:
- Gates are unlocked or access arrangements are agreed in advance
- We are informed of any entry codes, key safe locations or specific instructions
- The area to be cleaned is accessible and safe for us to work in
If we arrive and cannot access your property, you may still be charged for the visit. Please let us know in advance if there are any access issues.
4. Pets During Service
We love animals โ that’s why we do what we do! However, for everyone’s safety:
- Please ensure dogs are kept indoors or in a separate area during our visit, unless we have agreed otherwise
- If a dog shows signs of aggression or we feel unsafe, we reserve the right to leave without completing the service. You will be notified and no charge will apply for that visit
- For cat litter and hutch cleans, please ensure we can safely access the area without risk of pets escaping
5. What We Can and Can’t Guarantee
We will always do our very best, but please note:
- If grass is overgrown, or the garden is covered in snow, leaves or debris, we may not be able to remove all waste as we can only clear what is visible
- We recommend keeping grass trimmed where possible for the best results
- We are not responsible for locating waste hidden under objects, furniture, or heavy foliage
6. Pricing
All prices are based on an average-sized garden requiring up to one hour of cleaning. Larger gardens requiring additional time will be charged at ยฃ10 per 15 minutes. We will always discuss pricing with you before commencing work if we believe additional charges may apply.
Our monthly fee is based on a 52-week calendar and averaged out over 12 months. For months with five weeks instead of four, you will not be charged for the extra visit as it is built into the monthly pricing.
7. Payment
- Monthly subscriptions are paid one month in advance. This means payment is due on the day your service starts, before your first scoop takes place.
- Weekly payments โ if you make special arrangements to pay weekly, payment is due on the day of your scheduled scoop, prior to the clean commencing.
- We accept bank transfer, cash, or other methods as arranged.
Missed and Late Payments
- If your scoop day is skipped due to missed payment, a one-off cleaning fee may be charged at your next visit to account for the additional build-up.
- If payment is more than two weeks overdue, your service will be paused until the account is brought up to date.
We understand that life happens โ if you’re struggling, please talk to us. We’d rather work out a plan with you than lose you as a customer.
8. Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or change your service:
- For regular services, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a visit.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full service rate.
- If you wish to cancel your ongoing service entirely, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice before your next scheduled visit. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.
If we need to cancel or change your service:
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule visits due to extreme weather, illness or unforeseen circumstances. We will always notify you as soon as possible and rearrange at no extra cost.
- We reserve the right to cancel your service at any time. We will endeavour to give you at least 7 days’ notice.
Changes to Pricing and Terms
- Prices and terms may be reviewed and updated from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice of any changes to your regular service rate where possible.
9. Your Holidays and Absences
If your regular service day falls on a bank holiday, we will arrange an alternative day with you. If you are going on holiday and would like to pause your service, just let us know in advance.
10. Our Holidays
Tail-End Scoopers is a small, independent business and there will be occasions when we take time off for holidays or personal commitments. We will always give you as much notice as possible โ typically at least two weeks โ if your regular service will be affected.
Where possible, we will offer an alternative visit before or after our break to minimise disruption. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
11. Gate Closed Guarantee and Photo Evidence
We understand how important your pet’s safety is. That’s why we offer a gate closed guarantee โ after every visit, we will ensure all gates are securely closed and send you a photo as confirmation.
If one of our team comes across a broken gate, we will secure it as best we can and notify you straight away.
We will also send you a photo of your cleared garden after each visit, so you have peace of mind that the job has been completed to a high standard โ even if you’re not home to see it yourself.
Photos will be sent via text message or WhatsApp, depending on your preference.
12. Waste Disposal
All collected pet waste will be double-bagged and placed in your domestic wheeled bin for disposal via your normal collection, as per local authority environmental health guidelines. We do not transport waste away.
13. Liability and Insurance
Tail-End Scoopers holds public liability insurance. However, we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage to lawns, plants, or garden features
- Damage caused by your pets during or after our visit
- Any items left in the garden that may be damaged during cleaning
- Illness or injury caused by pre-existing contamination on your property
We take every care when working on your property, but please ensure any fragile or valuable items are removed from the service area.
